Chris Nichols is an intellectual property and registered U.S. patent attorney based in the firm's Baton Rouge office. Chris is a former patent examiner with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
Chris has experience in all areas of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution, trademark clearance and prosecution, IP-related litigation and due diligence, contract negotiation/review, and client counseling. Chris has experience in a wide range of technologies including polymers, coatings, lithium and bromine chemistry, oil and gas technologies, mechanical arts, computer-implemented arts, and medical devices. Prior to practicing law, Chris was a registered professional engineer with a major engineering and construction company, leading and managing process design projects for oil refineries, gas processing facilities, and chemical plants.
