McGlinchey Stafford PLLC is pleased to announce that Manuel Farach, Member in the Fort Lauderdale office, was recently granted certification in Appellate Law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education (BLSE). Together with his previous board certifications in Business Litigation and Real Estate Law, the certification in Appellate Law makes Farach one of just 13 lawyers in the state of Florida with board certification in three separate categories.
Established by the Florida Supreme Court in 1982, the BLSE certification program recognizes attorneys for their special knowledge, skills, proficiency in various areas of law, professionalism, and ethics in practice. Of the Bar’s more than 121,000 members, fewer than four percent receive board certification in one of the 27 categories. There are currently 5,181 board certified attorneys in the state of Florida.
Widely recognized as a leader in the legal field, Farach has more than three decades of transactional and litigation experience, including serving as outside general counsel for a savings and loan association. He has consistently been named to Florida Super Lawyers’ “Top 100 Lawyers” in the state of Florida and was honored as The Florida Bar’s Business Law Section “Member of the Year” in 2016. A 1985 graduate of the Florida State University College of Law, Farach is a regular speaker on topics as diverse as real estate law, business litigation, technology law, and professionalism, and was named the 2017 College of Law Outstanding Alumnus.
