Melinda Louque Hogan represents financial institutions including banks, mortgage servicers, and lenders in state and federal courts. Her practice is centered on consumer financial services litigation, with a particular focus on defending clients in complex mortgage foreclosure litigation. Her work includes defending lender liability claims, as well as claims arising from consumer protection statutes, disclosures pursuant to the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and federal and state laws governing loan servicing.
In addition to her work in consumer financial services litigation, Melinda has experience in title insurance litigation, real estate, and labor and employment law, as well as government litigation. While in law school, she externed with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, and interned with the Honorable Martin Hoffman, 68th Judicial District Court of Dallas County, and with the Honorable U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel, Western District of Texas.
