Michael Odom has represented clients in a broad variety of real estate transactions and litigation. With more than 24 years of experience as real estate and litigation counsel, Michael draws from his varied experience to help businesses overcome a myriad of challenges.
Michael represents real estate developers and builders in all aspects of a deal, including land use planning, contract review, and litigation. His real estate cases range from defending title insurance companies for alleged policy breaches, bad faith, and other claims to representing land owners, commercial contractors, homebuilders, and lenders. As part of his real estate litigation practice, he represents land owners whose property is being condemned through eminent domain. Michael represents title insurance companies and lenders in all types of actions.
Michael also represents lenders in commercial loan closings, commercial foreclosure matters, problem loan remediation, negotiation of forbearance and loan modification agreements, and deficiency/recovery litigation.
In addition to his real estate and commercial litigation practices, Michael is active in alternative dispute resolution and mediation. He is registered on the Alabama State Court Mediation Roster and the Alabama Arbitrator Roster.
